UWCA has helped Calgary and area to build a greater city and improve the quality of life. The demand for organizations such as UWCA is increasing, and therefore effective & efficient business processes are critical. Currently, Kogawa is facilitating business process redesign sessions at UWCA. We are also coaching them on our business process methodology, so that they can continuously improve and update their business processes. The staff are amazing and we are encouraged to see how dedicated they are to helping individuals and families. Potential donors can discuss with UWCA on the many ways they can participate.
To help Calgarians during these difficult economic times, Kogawa sponsored meals and volunteered at Inn From the Cold. Inn From the Cold is a valued organization that provides temporary emergency shelter and food to homeless families in need. The staff are caring and friendly, and it was inspiring to see how comfortable the children felt there. We encourage others to sponsor this charitable, essential organization.
White Fields supports indigenous pastors in their own countries. These pastors live among people in very difficult situations. They teach, counsel, and support people on both their physical and spiritual needs. The latest project is to help people who do not have access to clean and safe water in Uganda. White Fields is building rainwater collection tanks and providing bio-sand filters. For many years, Kogawa has sponsored and organized fundraising banquets for White Fields.
Between Friends provides quality social, recreation and self-development opportunities for people with disabilities to connect, grow and belong. Kogawa consultants and some of their children spent many years participating and sponsoring the skate-a-kid-to-camp. Not only does Between Friends help people with disabilities to reach their full potential, but it also helps all people increase their awareness and positive attitudes towards citizens with disabilities.
